around the world with ipuenktchen

the sweet summer eves in tabriz are great. the weather is so handsome and a very nice light wind always - and what a crowd in our parks!!??!!?!!!!! vacation time arrived!!!!!! the open-air-restaurants invite ppl to take a shishlik or smth else...! ppl are so busy to bring out half of their home to spend a nice eve in el goli park!! the kids excitedly waiting for the fun park, and the elder ppl enjoying their open air dinner!! sitting there watching ppl and chatting together - mostly until 1 or 2 AM!! the pools is waiting for clients going by boat and so on.. well, it's a nice atmosphere........

btw - on the tentative list of world cultural heritage site!! pls keep your fingers crossed for the registration as a world heritage site this year!!!!!!!!!



there are so many areas called *saray* the different parts of bazar and we get never tired to see another one!!!! some of them had been restored, some of them still not... and other are contemporate buildings!



it's a special world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



yesterday we had seen other parts of the old bazar!

oldieoma had the idea to go to the carpet bazar and lucky traveltoys accompanied them!! oh what a special world is the carpet bazar... men were relaxing on hills of carpets.. but if someone shows his interest to see the carpets they get busy like strong sportsmen!!!!! because many carpets are so heavy!



and they have to open each one so the client could have a glance on and showing the next one... and finally perhaps the client got tired, buying nothing and go to the next shop - and same procedure....



and here and there men are sitting and working on the carpets for different purposes..



as you know perhaps the tabriz bazar is the by far largest covered bazar of the world, and as tabriz is famous for its carpets, the part of bazar reserved for carpet is quite large, so we had a lot to see.. and we only saw a very small part of it!!!!!!



and finally ipue took photos of the entrances of the *saray* and *timtsheh* we had seen the most interesting carpets and would like to come again, so we will be sure to refind the right entrances!!!!!
