Sightseeing in Tabriz and its Neighborhood.. :-))))
ipuenktchen, 03:05h
TUE & WED... pls stay tuned!!
great lunch while sightseeing in diff. companies...
the first occasion of this delegation was to have a glance at Blue Mosque of Tabriz, registered at the tentative list of Unesco!! a short look in the eve only, but better than nothing!!!!
from there a short walk for a look at tabriz town hall, now used as the town museum, and of course the representative salons for high class guests!!!!
during another short walk in the city center we saw this cute sculpture of a typical scenery in olden times, when ppl had smth to do at the law court, they needed an amanuensis, sitten on the stairs of the court...
next day around noon the delegation reached the World Heritage Site Bazar of Tabriz, the worldwide largest roofed bazar, and got really content!!!!
and up from here the new bazar, bazar shams tabrizi!
finally we had in our pedestrian zone a yummy *abgousht*!!
next day after some important meetings we went in the afternoon to kandovan, 60 km far from tab.. and had a look at the carved tuffstone cones where ppl are even nowadays still living. unfortunately they are using normal brickstones to enlarge their homes.. we can understand they need space, but it's a pity like to destroy the beautiful and interesting livingplace from ancient time..........
and here we found original shepherd-hats!!!!
place to get the famous kandovan mineralwater from the spring
even a bee hive you can buy in the tiny kandovan bazar...
the name of the village is KANDOVAN and kando means bee hive!!!!
and the village is famous for its honey, too!!!
